I was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised under traditional Korean parents. I was able to graduate high school as one of the top five students in math and physics. After graduating I continued my education with the School of Information Technology at Korea Aerospace University until 2011.
My mother was an artist in mediums including pottery, leather working, French embroidery, and floral design. The creative environment I grew up in eventually led me into taking private lessons in how to be a professional floral designer. Afterwards I became certified as an international floral designer by the American Institute of Floral Designers, and in 2014 immigrated to the US from South Korea.
My first move was to take classes at the University of South Carolina to accelerate my English and grammar skills. Next I moved to Aspen, Colorado where I worked at an event company for a year and a half as an assistant floral designer. Finally I accepted a position as a lead floral designer on Kauai where I worked two and a half years.
I love to travel and gather design inspiration from many different states and the hidden beauty of each culture. My goal is to consistently challenge myself with new styles and trends while embracing all manner of design request & needs.
